Dr. Marie performs extremely thorough and comprehensive medical based eye examinations for the entire family.

During your exam, we will be checking many aspects of your vision including your glasses prescription, binocularity (how well your eyes work together), neurologic tests and the health of both the internal and external parts of your eyes.

This exam takes into account your past and present health and ocular (eye) history, family history, medications – prescription, over the counter, herbals and vitamins and allergies.

To obtain your best correction, Dr. Marie looks at your past and present eyeglasses and compares them so you can see the difference.

The assessment of the outside and inside of the eyes is seen with high powered magnification.  Dilation is essential for the most complete view for assessment of eye health.  It’s like looking into a room through a keyhole as opposed to opening up the door, walking in and turning around!

We recommend these examinations be performed annually to maintain optimum eye health.

Dr. Marie is trained and licensed in the diagnosis and treatment of most anterior segment and posterior segment medical eye conditions.  We have state of the art instrumentation for the detection, diagnosis, and documentation of eye diseases.  As deemed necessary, examinations may include binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy, retinal fundus photography, pachymetry, threshold visual field analysis, and more to provide second to none medical eye care.  Dr. Marie routinely manage patients with conditions as varied as infectious conjunctivitis, ocular allergies, dry eyes, corneal abrasions and foreign bodies, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration.
